Crafter was originally founded in 1972 by Hyun Kwon Park under the name Sung-Eum music Co Ltd.The first guitars made by Hyun in the basement of his home in Korea were classical guitars for the Korean market.The company’s reputation quickly grew due to the high quality of the guitars. As the company grew and moved to Seoul, Hyun began making other acoustic and electro acoustic guitars, but changed the name to Crafter in order to compete with better know American and Japanese lines.Crafter guitars are now sold in over 30 countries.
