Electro Harmonix Effects & Processors
Electro-Harmonix was created by Mike Mathews in
1968, and has been arguably the best known name in effects pedals both then, and now. The company’s most famous pedal ‘The Big Muff Pi’ was first released in ’71 and has been used by guitarists Santana, Gilmour, and others. Later pedals included Phasers under the name Small Stone, Chorus pedals under the name Small Clone, and an envelope filter called the Q-Tron, which was co-created by Mike Beigel, inventor or the Mutron III, a very successful auto-wah pedal. Electro-Harmonix has had wide success in the vacuum tube market for electric guitar amps as well.
Today, the company offers reissues of the original Electro-Harmonix pedals, keeping them as close to the original analog design as possible. Electro-Harmonix also offers a wide array ‘Mini’ and ‘Micro’ pedals to suit the needs of the expanding guitar market.
