Mike Brady - Guitars
Mike was born and raised in York County. He got his first guitar in 1969 at age 12 and hasn’t put it down since. By the time he was 16, he was playing guitar in a local oldies/country band, playing carnivals, VFW’s and every little bar in south central Pennsylvania.
Age 18 found Mike in a 4 year enlistment in the US Navy. Stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, he had a first hand introduction to the major southern rock acts throughout the mid to late seventies. With a love of Southern Rock etched in his soul, he came out of the Navy and joined a regional southern rock band, Amberjack. Mike stayed with Amberjack through the late eighties.
Mike then joined Disorderly Conduct out of the York area whose focus was on Classic and New Rock. Mike played with Disorderly Conduct for 6 years and then drifted in out of a number of bands and played blues and classic rock. In 2005 Mike recorded a solo acoustic CD and then played the York area acoustically for a while. In mid 2006 Mike saw an advertisement for a Guitar Player for the regionally well known band Smokin’ Gunnz.
We are very proud to have Mike on board teaching here at Triple R Guitar, Ltd. Mike is well versed in teaching the technique of Rock Guitar and also teaching slide guitar as well.
